Adopt and Enact the Digital Identity Law
The Digital Identity Law is foundational as legal backbone for eID and digital signatures implementation across public and private sectors, enabling the framework for trusted authentication and transactions, with relevant safeguards, and institutional responsibilities.
Update the draft law based on institutional and stakeholder feedback gathered – keeping in mind future extension needs of digital ID (e.g. proposed eFaas 3.0 directions).
Validate revisions via a second public consultation including stakeholders both from public and private sectors.
Conducting public consultations and integrating feedback from other stakeholders helps to ensure better uptake on national digital ID and enhances trust towards it.
